Mint Cacao Smoothie

In this summer heat, sometimes you just need a refreshing snack that leaves you feeling like you're doing something good for yourself. This Mint Cacao Smoothie is action packed with nutrient dense ingredients, creating a creamy minty base paired with a chocolaty crunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 large handful of fresh spinach (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup almond milk (or your preferred milk choice) 
  • 5-10 drops of peppermint extract (or a small handful of fresh mint)
  • 1 frozen banana 
  • medjool dates (pitted)
  • tablespoons cacao nibs

Instructions 

  • Blend the spinach, almond milk and peppermint extract until smooth. Add peppermint drops to your preferred tase. Be sure not to add too many, as it gets minty quickly!
  • Add in the frozen banana and dates and blend on high until you reach a creamy consistency. 
  • Briefly blend in the cacao nibs for some yummy texture. Pour into your vessel of choice and enjoy!
