The name & Tread Well is rooted in two meanings: a family name that draws us back to our lineage in the Hudson Valley. And the name’s symbolism of moving forward holistically.

How It Started

In 2023, we—sisters, Emily and Claire—returned to our roots on our family farm in the Hudson Valley. As we reconnected with the land, embracing slow mornings and afternoons in the garden, we found a sense of calm and healing that we had been missing.
With this new mindset, we began to recognize a misalignment between the products we were using and what our skin was in need of. After years of managing skin sensitivities irritated by harsh chemicals and heavy fragrances, our intent became simple: to return our skin to its most natural state. 
With our backgrounds in clinical research and women's health we pared our formulas back to the essentials, creating the natural choice: 100% natural self-care, honestly made for sensitive skin and senses. Where natural ingredients are used in their rawest forms to re/connect humans with nature.
